OnePlus 12R: How does it differ from the OnePlus 12?

While the OnePlus 12 comes with the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the OnePlus 12R is also no slouch with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which also powered the OnePlus 11 last year.

As for RAM options, the OnePlus 12R is available in 8GB and 16GB options, while the OnePlus 12 offers a choice between 12GB and 16GB.

Talking about battery capacity, the OnePlus 12R has a larger 5,500mAh battery compared to the OnePlus 12’s 5,400mAh unit. Both phones support fast charging at 100W, but the OnePlus 12 also offers 50W AIRVOOC fast charging.

Display-wise, the OnePlus 12R gets a 6.78-inch 1.5K panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, while the OnePlus 12 sports a 6.82-inch QHD display.

Finally, when it comes to optics, the OnePlus 12R features a dual + macro camera setup with a 50-megapixel IMX 890 sensor and a secondary ultra-wide-angle lens. Instead, the OnePlus 12 has a triple camera system with a primary 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 sensor.
